Our Mission and Vision

The Compassion Network — Childhood Cancer Family Support in Western Pennsylvania

The Compassion Network provides essential support for families facing childhood cancer and serious pediatric illnesses in Westmoreland, Allegheny, and surrounding counties. Our nonprofit organization offers emergency financial assistance, food support, travel help for medical appointments, household necessities, and health‑related items such as air and water purification systems for immunocompromised children.

Families experiencing a child’s illness often struggle with sudden income loss, increased medical travel, and overwhelming household expenses. The Compassion Network fills this critical gap by delivering fast, practical support that helps families stay stable and focused on their child’s treatment.

Our services include utility and rent assistance, grocery cards, gas cards, lodging support, essential household items, and caregiver phone support. With a growing need in our region, we are committed to ensuring no family faces childhood illness alone.

If you are looking for childhood cancer family support, financial assistance for pediatric illness, or help with travel and household needs during treatment, the Compassion Network Childhood Cancer Initiative is here for you.
